I hold a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. I started my career in 2000 and have spent most of it writing C and C++ for embedded devices: payment applications for EFT POS terminals, and more recently firmware for automotive radar chips, industrial IoT gateways and secure contactless readers. My current work is the architecture of a secure embedded Linux system on Raspberry Pi CM4/CM5, with separate trust domains for the manufacturer's firmware and the customer's applications. Since 2015 I have worked as a freelance consultant.
I join your team as an extra engineer who needs little ramp-up time. I work remotely from Croatia, use your tools and processes, communicate early and clearly, and visit on site when the project benefits from it. I care about estimating honestly, delivering on time, and leaving code that your team can maintain after I am gone.
Clarify the functional, safety and security requirements together with your team, and agree on scope, priorities and milestones.
Design the software architecture and units, document interfaces, and make sure the design fits the hardware and the certification targets.
Write clean, reviewed C or C++ code in your repository, following your coding guidelines and MISRA where required.
Check the code with tools such as Polyspace or cppcheck, and fix findings before they reach testing.
Verify on target hardware, in simulation or with automated Python test and lab scripts, and record the results.
Hand over working firmware, documentation and a reproducible build, and stay available for maintenance and follow-up work.

My experience expressed in numbers.
Tell me about your payment, automotive or embedded project and let's see how I can help.
